Where to Use Google Review QR Codes in Restaurants & Cafés

Restaurants and cafés have several natural places where customers can notice a Google Review QR code without interrupting their visit. The best location depends on how customers order, pay and leave the premises.
At the till or payment counter
For cafés, takeaway counters and casual dining, the till is a practical location because customers are already close to the surface. Keep the QR sticker visible but separate from payment QR codes, menus or loyalty information so its purpose is obvious.
On suitable table displays
A small review prompt on a table display can give customers time to scan after their meal or drink. Avoid cluttering the table with too many calls to action, and make sure the QR code is not likely to be covered by plates, menus or condiments.
Near the exit
A sticker near the exit can catch attention at the end of the visit. It should still be positioned where customers can stop briefly without blocking a doorway or walkway.
At a takeaway collection point
If customers collect drinks or food from a dedicated pickup area, that can be a useful review touchpoint. The customer has completed most of the interaction and can scan while waiting for the order or immediately after receiving it.
On takeaway packaging
Where the surface is suitable, a review QR sticker on a bag or box lets the customer scan later. Test that the sticker adheres well and that the QR code remains flat enough to scan.
Keep the QR code separate from menu codes
Many hospitality businesses already use QR codes for menus or ordering. If a review code sits nearby, label it clearly so customers do not confuse the two.
