Document Printing and Wire Binding
Wire binding turns a stack of printed pages into an organised document that opens flat and is easy to use. It is well suited to reports, manuals, course notes, presentations, reference documents and project submissions.

What is wire binding?
The printed pages are punched along one edge and held together with a wire spine. Unlike loose sheets or stapled pages, a wire-bound document can open flat and pages can turn easily.
Documents suitable for wire binding
- Business reports
- Training manuals
- College and school projects
- Presentation documents
- Instruction booklets
- Reference materials
- Portfolios and proposals
Why page order matters
Binding locks the document into a fixed sequence. Before uploading, check the first page, last page, page numbers and any blank pages. Correcting a bound document later may require printing and binding it again.
Single- or double-sided printing for bound documents
Double-sided printing keeps a long report compact and reduces the number of sheets. Single-sided printing gives each page its own sheet and may be preferable when the document includes notes, worksheets or pages intended for annotation.
Margins near the binding edge
Keep important text and page numbers away from the edge that will be punched. A narrow inner margin can make content difficult to read or place it too close to the binding holes.
Covers and durability
A suitable cover can protect the first and last pages and improve presentation. The available cover and finishing choices depend on the options shown on the product page.
Preparing a file for binding

Frequently asked questions
Can a wire-bound document open flat?
Yes. This is one of the main advantages of wire binding.
Can pages be added after binding?
Changing a finished bound document may require it to be opened and rebound or produced again.
Should I choose double-sided printing?
It is useful for longer reports, but single-sided printing may be better for worksheets or documents that need annotations.
